Brief Biography (If Available) | Nurudeen graduated from the PT program of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, in 1994. He worked in the State of Kuwait before immigrating to Canada in 2002. Nurudeen went on to complete his Maters of Rehabilitation Science degree at the University of Alberta, Edmonton. He has also attained postgraduate ceritification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, Acupuncture, Intramuscular Stimulation (Dry needling) and the Neurodevelopmental Techniques (NDT). Nurudeen was nominated in 2008 for the Clinical Excellence Award of the Alberta Rehabilitation Coordinating Council. Nurudeen has several publications and has made numerous professional presentations related to neuro and orthopedic physiotherapy. He was a member of the University of Alberta Stroke Certificate Curriculum Committee and Alberta Stroke Strategy Committee (that drafted the Stroke management protocols for the province of Alberta). Nurudeen is currently practising Neuro-rehabilitation and owns the Two Hills Physiotherapy. He is also a reviewer for the Ghana Journal of Physiotherapy, sentinel reader for the McMaster University online rating of evidence and clinical lecturer, dept of PT, University of Alberta. |
